Water Break or Sewer Problem in Holtville? State Lists City Public Works as First Contact

HOLTVILLE — November 2, 2026. The Colorado River Regional Water Quality Control Board’s reporting directory identifies Holtville Public Works as the city contact for drinking-water, wastewater and stormwater problems.

Different situations use the same city office

The state lists Holtville Public Works and Water/Sewer Department at 760-356-2912 for water supply concerns, water-waste complaints, sewage problems and stormwater reports.

When another agency is appropriate

The California water board lists separate county and state contacts for drinking-water regulation, air pollution, pesticide issues and hazardous substances. A report of a nuisance odor should be directed to the authority for its likely source.

Protect personal safety

Residents should document addresses, dates and relevant details, avoid touching sewage or electrical equipment, and call 911 when there is immediate danger to life. A complaint contact listing does not itself confirm contamination in any particular neighborhood.
